Akpakpa: a fire outbreak at a textile warehouse brought under control, no injuries

Firefighters intervened on Sunday late afternoon to bring under control a fire outbreak at a textile storage warehouse in the Akpakpa industrial zone. No injuries were reported, but part of the fabric stock was damaged by smoke, according to initial findings.
According to firefighters, the fire is believed to have started in a storage area near an electrical installation, though the exact cause has not yet been established at this stage. The rapid response, with a crew based less than ten minutes from the site, helped contain the flames before they could spread to neighbouring warehouses.
Traders in the zone, who often store large volumes of goods under similar conditions, say they are following the incident closely. Several are calling for an inspection of electrical installations in the area's warehouses, similar to the campaign run at some markets in the sub-region in recent months.
What the creator verified this Sunday evening: firefighters present on site and no injuries, confirmed by emergency services. What remains to be confirmed: the exact cause of the fire and the precise scale of the goods lost, still being assessed by the warehouse's owner.
